Welcome to the North Bay! This site encompasses 3 North Bay counties: Marin, Solano and Sonoma. Marin County is a wonderful mix of glitzy, picturesque towns, such as Sausalito and Tiburon, facing San Francisco; charming, bustling cities, such as San Rafael and Novato, and the pristine beauty of West Marin where green pastures on top of towering cliffs meet the sea. The scenery is world-class, the restaurants feature fresh produce and cutting-edge California cuisine. Sonoma County is made up of vineyards, dairy farms, ranches, charming small towns, and award-winning restaurants as well as a variety of thriving industries including computer and wineries. At once rural, cosmopolitan, and cutting edge, Sonoma County’s wide blue sky and dramatic sunsets above the green rolling hills recall Provence. Sonoma County is a great place to live, raise a family, enjoy great restaurants, find rewarding jobs, and just plain have a good time. Hiking, biking, exploring the Russian River, live oaks, redwoods, the dramatic Sonoma coastline, it is all here. Sonoma County is definitely a destination. In addition to the larger cities of Petaluma, Rohnert Park, and Santa Rosa that are along the Highway 101 corridor there are picturesque towns such as Sebastopol, Sonoma, Occidental, and Cotati. Wineries, apple orchards, horse ranches, redwoods, and views of the ocean are within a short drive. Solano County lies midway between San Francisco and Sacramento and is a blend of rural and suburban living, agriculture and high tech.
Mare Island situated next to Vallejo was home for over 140 years to the Mare Island Shipyard. Mare Island has many historic buildings as well as new tenants such as Touro University.
