Welcome to the North Bay!
This site encompasses 3 North Bay counties: Marin, Sonoma and Lake, as well as southern Mendocino County.
Marin County
is a wonderful mix of glitzy, picturesque towns, such as Sausalito and Tiburon, facing San Francisco; charming, bustling cities, such as San Rafael and Novato, and the pristine beauty of West Marin where green pastures on top of towering cliffs meet the sea.
The scenery is world-class, the restaurants feature fresh produce and cutting-edge California cuisine.
Sonoma County
is made up of vineyards, dairy farms, ranches, charming small towns, and award-winning restaurants as well as a variety of thriving industries including computer and telecommunications companies. At once rural, cosmopolitan and cutting edge, Sonoma County’s wide blue sky and dramatic sunsets above the green rolling hills recall Provence.
Sonoma County is a great place to live, raise a family, enjoy great restaurants and wineries, find rewarding jobs, and just plain have a good time. Hiking, biking, exploring the Russian River, live oaks, redwoods, the dramatic Sonoma coastline, it is all here. Sonoma County is definitely a destination.
In addition to the larger cities of Petaluma, Rohnert Park, and Santa Rosa that are along the Highway 101 corridor there are picturesque towns such as Sebastopol, Sonoma, Occidental, and Cotati. Wineries, apple orchards, horse ranches, redwoods, and views of the ocean are within a short drive.
Lake County
, abutting the northeast side of Sonoma County, is home to Clear Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in California. Outdoor recreation opportunities abound, including fishing, all kinds of water sports, hiking through the national forests and public lands. Whether you are looking for a vacation getaway or a scenic hideaway far from the crowds, you can find it in Lake County.
Mendocino County
is best known for its redwood forests, breathtaking ocean scenery, and oh-so-charming towns such as Mendocino.
The Links section contains a variety of informative and useful web sites covering local cities, education, restaurants, tourism, employment, mortgage calculators, on-line loan companies, etc. In short, a lot of what you’ll need to know or use to make a real estate decision.
